Rainbow Candlelight March "Bridging the Communities"

Purple People Bridge (a.k.a. Newport Southbank Bridge)

The organizers are looking for a simple, fun way to bridge the GLBT Communities in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky by this Candlelight March to kick-off the Pride Festivities for the weekend.

Here's how to participate:

•    Ohioans gather at north end of bridge (near Pete Rose Way)
•    Kentuckians gather at south end of bridge east of Newport on the Levee
•    The goal is to step-off at 8:30 PM with both groups walking towards each other on the Purple People Bridge.
•    Groups will merge and all will continue to head south towards Newport.
•    Candles will be provided.
•    In case of rain bring a flashlight.
•    Group will walk together toward Levee with brief words by the 2009 Pride Grand Marshalls -- Dr. John A. Maddux and Cheryl Eagleson -- and Jayna Johnson, Greater Cincinnati Human Rights Campaign Steering Committee Co-Chair.
•    Participants are encouraged to support the GLBT and LGBT-friendly bars of Northern Kentucky

Visit the HRC booth at the Festival on Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. or Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m.

Or, walk with us in the Parade. The crowd gathers at Clifton's Burnet Woods near the Gazebo beginning at 11:30 a.m. We'll be carrying the 25' HRC flag this year, which means we need at least 25 walkers in the parade! Join us!

Join HRC Greater Cincinnati/Dayton this Pride season as we premiere
what is surely to become the newest rage in backyard games - "Hurl Your
Clutch."  Designer handbags will be available for participants to toss
at the "Hurl YouR Clutch" game board to win the opportunity to be
included in hourly drawings for fabulous prizes.

Hurl Your Clutch debuts at Dayton Pride this weekend at the the HRC
booth at Courthouse Square and next Saturday & Sunday at Cincinnati
Pride in Hoffner Park.
